TsAGI Tested New Wind Power Plants 15.07.2010 The Industrial Aerodynamics Department of TsAGI’s Moscow Division has tested two wind power plants of a new type. The tests ordered jointly by the Khrunichev Space Center and the ERGA Public Corporation were carried out in the T 1-2 Wind Tunnel.
ILS SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES THE ECHOSTAR XV SATELLITE FOR DISH NETWORK. 5th ILS PROTON MISSION OF 2010; 7th PROTON IN 6 MONTHS 11.07.2010 BAIKONUR COSMODROME, Kazakhstan, July 11, 2010 – International Launch Services (ILS), a leading launch services provider for the global commercial satellite industry, successfully carried the EchoStar XV satellite into orbit today on an ILS Proton for DISH Network L.L.C., the fastest-growing pay-TV provider in America. EchoStar Satellite Services L.L.C., a subsidiary of EchoStar Corporation (Nasdaq: SATS), manages DISH Network’s space programs and will begin in-orbit testing of the satellite later this month.
he EchoStar XV launch was the 24th successful consecutive Proton launch in 24 months, and the second ILS Proton launch of a DISH Network satellite this year.

GLONASS M Navigation Triplets Launched Successfully by Proton M 02.09.2010 A Proton M launch vehicle has successfully delivered to orbit three Russian navigation satellites to supplement the GLONASS M constellation.The lift-off of the launcher took place today at 04:53:50 MSK.
This is a tenth 2010 spacecraft launch using one of the Khrunichev-built launchers, which include the Proton, Kosmos 3M and Rockot families. The ten missions have resulted in a successful placement of 14 domestic or foreign spacecraft in orbit.
The next Proton mission scheduled for October 14 is to launch SIRIUS XM5, a U.S. communications satellite.

Monitor E: Five Years of In-orbit Life26.08.2010 A Rockot launch vehicle lifted off at the Plesetsk Launch Base on 26 August 2005 to place the Monitor E Earth observation small satellite in orbit.This experimental small EO spacecraft is a first one to be built by Khrunichev.Today Monitor E continues to function in an as-designed mode, downlinking imagery of the Earth’s surface. Thousands of missions have been carried out and imagery of millions of square kilometers of the Earth’s surface has been generated.
Breeze M Arrives at Baikonur for SIRIUS XM-5 Launch24.08.2010 The Breeze M upper stage (US) – which will be used as a forth stage on a Proton M space rocket to orbit the Sirius XM-5 satellite – was delivered today to Baikonur Launch Base (Cosmodrome).
Pre-launch processing of the Breeze M is scheduled to begin over the next several days.
